Lance Laspina


Lance Laspina grew up in the beautiful rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania. Go Steelers!

Lance's career in the film and commercial world spans 15 years. With his extensive knowledge of the entire production process, he brings a rare combination of artistic, filmmaking, and visual effects talent to any project on which he is hired.

Since graduating from U.S.C.'s prestigious Film School in 1992, Lance has lent his talents to numerous feature films, commercials, video games, comic books, magazines, and television movies. He has worked in a number of capacities, including Directing, Storyboards, Character / Concept Design, Matte Paintings, Animatics, Movie Poster Design, 3D Computer Graphics and Compositing.

Several years ago, Lance directed a feature documentary on legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta, entitled "Frazetta: Painting With Fire". The film received numerous festival awards for best documentary, aired on the Independent Film Channel and was released both domestically and internationally on DVD.

Lance continues to direct short films, produce illustrations, and develop other projects on the side with his creative partners.

Clients Include: Disney, Fox Studios, Marvel Comics, THQ, Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson, H.S.I., Smuggler, MJM Creative, Anonymous Content, The Ant Farm, SuperFad.

Lance recently worked on the new TNT promos for "Dark Blue" and "Memphis Beat". He also recently worked on the teaser trailers for the new Disney / Pixar movie, "Planes."

When he's not in front of my Cintiq drawing away, you can find Lance in the nearby mountains ripping up some sweet singletrack on his mountain bike, or at the ice rink playing hockey with his buds.
