Ryan Falkner is an illustrator and filmmaker with over 13 years of experience as a storyboard artist and a lifetime as a storyteller. He is a member of Local 800.
Ryan first began drawing and telling stories when he was a young boy. He would write and illustrate his own comics often emulating the books he loved such as the Tintin series and crafting storylines similar to his favorite James Bond movies and TV shows like Airwolf and the A Team.
After graduating from Pepperdine University in 1998 with a BA in Humanities and a minor in Art he began working as a storyboard artist in the film industry. Over the past decade Ryan has worked on over two dozen feature films, most notably Charlie St Cloud, Pineapple Express, Fired Up, Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest, and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. He has worked on popular TV shows including The Cape, Harry’s Law, House MD, ER, Desperate Housewives, The Mentalist, and others as well as countless commercials and network promos. Ryan is currently working with the Farrelly Brothers storyboarding The Three Stooges for Fox.
Over the past few years Ryan has also directed two short films and produced a third. He has been an actor and from 2005-2007 he was a member of the musician Beck’s band as a dancer and percussionist. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Emily and their cat Pablo.
